Create a Formal Garden or Bird Sanctuary

For anyone who appreciates animal and plant life, formal gardens and bird sanctuaries are the perfect vehicle for creating an exciting and diversified landscape.

Formal Gardens

Most formal gardens have clear structure, and in most cases are laid out symmetrically. Their beginnings originated from the ancient Persian gardens in Iran, the Italian gardens from the Renaissance. They culminated with the French gardens from the Baroque period. Through its design, the formal garden conveys a sense of order to the observer. In most cases it delivers a visually stunning and beautifully arrangement.

When designing and installing your formal garden, we’ll first look at the layout of your current landscape. This determines much of your garden’s style. We’ll work with you directly to help determine how your garden will be used most. Then we’ll plan your paths and choose your plants accordingly.

Bird Sanctuaries

Use your garden to attract wildlife, thereby creating a more vibrant and engaging atmosphere. Bird watching is a joyful and relaxing experience shared by many, because having birds around add beauty to your surroundings and songs to the air.

Most bird sanctuaries attract birds by providing easy access to plentiful of food. Planning and creating a landscape design that incorporates specific trees, shrubs, and flowers with different types of foliage will attract different types of birds. Of course adding birdhouses, feeders, and water features will optimize this process.

When designing and installing your bird sanctuary, we’ll first look at the layout of your current landscape. We'll then select plants that will cater to the birds you desire to attract while maintaining your garden’s design and aesthetic sensibilities.

We can also strategically place bird baths and miniature fountains (to keep the water constantly fresh). We can install birdhouses intermittently throughout your garden for maximum benefit. If you need maintenance for any of these features, like cleaning away mildew build up, we can handle that as well.
